How Much for a New Roof?
In this difficult economy, it is hard to justify spending thousands of dollars on replacing your roof. We are seeing more and more homeowners forgo replacing their faulty roof and instead opt to repair the issue. In the long run, this can be costly, as extreme weather can cause more damage than you expected to your home and your finances. Here are the most common roofing-related questions we get:
Roofing Question #1
How much is a new roof?
This is a difficult question to answer since there are many variables that must be assessed to give you the right answer. However, the price can shock many who are not expecting it or do not have the savings in place.
Roofing Question #2
Do you offer financing?
Since 2014, we have partnered with the HERO Program San Diego to help our sticker-shocked customers go green and save money with a new energy efficient roof. This is a statewide initiative to provide financing on all energy efficient home projects, for example, some items include solar, air conditioning, landscaping, AND roofs. The financing is paid for through your property taxes. Read More FAQ’s Here.
The types of roofs we can install in this program are called cool roofs. Cool roofs are Energy Star compliant roofing. In order for the roof to be rated as Energy Star compliant it must be able to reflect more of the sun’s rays. By reflecting the sun’s rays this can help lower the roof temperature by 50°F, thus reducing the need to run the air conditioning by 10-15 percent during peak hours.*
Here are a few Energy Star rated style of roofs we have installed:
Energy Star Rated Metal Roof Metal Roofs can be Standing Seam, Corrugated, or have a tile look
Energy Star Rated Tile Roof
Energy Star Rated TPO Flat Roof Flats roofs can be TPO (Thermoplastic polyolefin), or roof coated.
